We are delighted to welcome Molly Kern, CEO of the San Luis Obispo Food Bank, as our October speaker! Molly will share more about the Food Bank and the important work they are doing in our community.
We will also be holding a canned and non-perishable food drive at the luncheon, and Molly has shared a few suggestions to help make our donations especially meaningful.
Please be sure that all donated items are unexpired, and, if possible, consider bringing foods that are high in protein. Some great examples include peanut butter, beans, and tuna fish.
Molly also mentioned that monetary donations can go even further than purchasing food at the grocery store. For example, the Food Bank can purchase approximately six jars of peanut butter for what we would typically pay for just one jar at the grocery store.
Whether you bring a food donation or make a monetary contribution, every bit helps—and we know Molly will be grateful for our support. She is just as excited to come and speak with us as we are to have her!

Regular meal- Chicken Marsala - Sauteed chicken medallions with marsala wine mushroom sauce
Vegetarian meal - Tortellini de Zucca - Squash filled ravioli with parmesan cream sauce and fresh sage
Dessert: Tiramisu
